The deets: An AionFX PCB clone of the Crowther Hot Cake! This distortion pedal was originally released in 1976 in New Zealand. Unlike other distortion pedals that get their tone from transistors or diodes, the Hotcake overdrives the op-amp chip itself (a TL071) to achieve distortion. This part for part recreation includes modern Crowther mods like the 'bluesberry' mode (BB), as well as a bass boost.
